Film Africa Festival (2016): The Royal African Society’s annual film festival returns to London for its sixth edition, bringing the best of contemporary cinema from across the continent and its diaspora. This year there will be 52 films from 22 African countries, including 33 UK and European premieres, with features, documentaries, experimental and short films that highlight the exciting period of growth and recognition that African cinema is currently enjoying. The festival will also be hosting many filmmakers and onscreen talent who will take part in talks and Q+As. From North Africa, there will be two important films to look out for: the UK premiere of 'My Name Is Adil' by Adil Azzab from Morocco on 1 November, 2016 at the Hackney Picturehouse cinema and the screening of 'In the Last Days of the City' by Tamer El Said from Egypt on 5 November, 2016 at the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA).
