The BFI London Film Festival 2017 – Check the MENA-Inspired Choices

As the UK’s leading film festival, it always offers the UK public and film industry professionals the very early chance to view the best new films - from some 55 countries represented this year - alongside a comprehensive events programme where audiences can engage with some of the world’s most inspiring creative talents. This year, it will host 28 World Premieres, 9 International Premieres and 34 European Premieres.

BFI Discover Arab Cinema: In association with Zenith Foundation, the BFI Southbank continues with a year-long programme of inspiring contemporary and classic films from the Arab region with the month of June 2014 devoted to Palestine and showing: Omar (directed by Hany Abu Assaad, 2013), When I Saw You (directed by Annemarie Jacir, 2012), Last Days in Jerusalem (directed by Tawfik Abu Wael, 2011) and Divine Intervention (directed by Elia Suleiman, 2002).
